When it came to branding PostTea I thought I knew what colour scheme I wanted, what logo I wanted. And, if you know me well, you won’t be surprised to know I was venturing towards various shades of teal, turquoise and blue. So much so that when Jordan from Studio 9 Co asked me to put together an inspiration board on Pinterest for the logo design, it looked like this:
So imagine my surprise when what Jordan first sent me back was this:
Hmmph, I thought, where’s my blue? But then the longer I looked at it, the more I loved it. And now I’m completely smitten with everything orange and coral. It’s not a colour I can wear, in fact I don’t think if ever owned anything orange, and certainly not a bright red. Perhaps that’s why I didn’t think of it as a ‘good’ colour originally. But, of course, orange is a great colour for tea, much better than a murky old brown!
Now, every where I go I see orange, and love orange, and want orange. I even saw a pair of trousers in next and desperately wanted to buy them. Not sure I’d have got them through as a business expense though (uniform?!).
On Monday I saw some absolutely delightful pieces on Etsy – sometimes I go on there and see nothing that I like, but Monday was different. It all started with these cushions. Firstly, they’re triangluar! Secondly, they’re awesome colours.
I mean, come on. Who wouldn’t want those on their bed?! I want all of them. If you want them too, you can buy them from Imaginary Animal here on Etsy. This image was feature on Etsy’s front page on Monday, I bet it won’t be long until they’re all sold. Of course, clicking on the image takes you to all sorts of other wonders, so here’s the rest of what I’m loving this week in a handy little collage. All the shops are listed below the picture!
