Blackcurrant Blitz Iced Tea - Now Serving In Store!

July 07, 2013

Well it's a hot hot HOT weekend Camberely, and it's certainly had an effect on the number of shoppers we've had in store today! I've been tempting them in with some lovely Blackcurrant Blitz Iced Tea samples though, and showing why tea isn't just for winter, but for all year round!!

The iced tea is made using our Blackcurrant Burst Loose Leaf Tea, a blend of blackcurrants, hisbiscus and rose petals. Here's our recipe below for the perfect Blackcurrant Blitz!

Makes 1 x litre jug:

  • 4 teaspoons Blackcurrant Burst Loose Leaf Tea
  • Elderflower Cordial (we make our own!)
  • 8 fresh mint leaves:
  • Ice

Brew the Blackcurrant Burst as normal; using fresh filtered tap water, straight off the boil. Four teaspoons of tea will make a double strength brew, and add 4 mint leaves to the pot. Brew the tea of 4-5 minutes. In a jug, pour a healthy glug of of elderflower cordial and add 4 mint leaves. When the tea has brewed pour into a jug and top up with ice. If you're a little impatient, like us, you can make it up with half filtered cold water and half ice! Serve in a tall glass with a straw and enjoy!

Perfect when it's warm!
